I think it's going to get worse. We really need to start drilling more in our own country. They know where the oil deposits are, but our own goverment is standing in the way of us being more independent of foreign oil. I say drill baby drill. If was can supply more of our own oil, then the price will come down on the world market. Our country's economy is tied to fuel costs.
High gas prices will stifel any economic recovery.
Just be glad you guys are on the left side of the ditch. I paid 3.50 for 87 octane. The pump also shuts off at $75.00, so I can't even fill up my entire tank of my F-150!
Unrest in the middle east will keep the gas prices high and it's not going to end soon because the world knows that this administration is not going to do anything about it. They have 2 more years to do pretty much anything they want to screw us over while we are helpless to do anything but watch it on TV and suffer the consequences .
This sign in my garage came from an Amoco station when they were changing the signs over to BP. It seemed so high at the time and now I look at it fondly and think of better days whenever My eyes turn to the Cobra bay.
I laughed at that one also!! My dad owned a gas station (old Zephyr, just down hwy 94 from FastLane) and I remember during a "gas war" with the Fleet station down the road we sold gas for 19 cents per gallon. When it went back up to .32 cents per gallon people freaked out. Camels were also .25 cents a pack!
I don't guess this is the time to put a gas eatin hog in my mild Cobra....but....Too Late!!
Just watch...the freakin oil companys will post BILLIONS of dollars of profit next quarter but state "hey it's not us screwin you!" Bullsh(t !! ...and our politicians are getting fat and lovin it....BOTH sides of th isle!
