Garage Party/BBQ May 8th

It appears that rain is back in the forecast for May 8th...

Mid-Day:
"Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High around 70F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%."

Evening:
"Scattered thunderstorms. Low 58F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%."
 
Just yesterday the Saturday forecast was dry. Maybe it’ll change again. A reminder to anyone coming I-70 to Illinois 159: you will pass through Maryville and they are notorious for writing speeding tickets. If you come I-270 to 159, you will miss Maryville altogether.

This morning’s forecast for Saturday shows the rain arriving at 5pm so a dry morning and early afternoon. We will give it one more day before deciding. Looks like rain Sunday so that doesn’t work as a plan B. I’d really like it to be a roadster day but it might be iffy getting back home dry.

Always a tough call Kent! Could move up the arrival time and leave after lunch or maybe 3rd times a charm for reschedule?? Whatever you and Jorja decide. :)
 
RESCHEDULE....it’s a ROADSTER DAY..... needs to be a ROADSTER DAY..... MAY 15th is calling!
 
This morning’s forecast for Saturday shows the rain arriving in Glen Carbon at 2 now, 3 hours earlier than yesterday’s forecast. So we’re not going to get any break from the weather man. I hate canceling again but that’s where we’re at. My next open weekend is June 12. I’ll talk with the head honchos at GCC and see how that fits with the club calendar. Sorry for the on again / off again.

Completely understand Kent!! I have changed the event date to 6/12 on the GCC calendar. Mike
 
No problem at all Kent. You are graciously inviting us into your house. Weather is out of our control, but thanks for finding another date that works in your schedule. I look forward to seeing both you and Jorja soon.
 
Here we go again. Jorja has a convention starting on the 12th. Let’s make it the 19th. Locked in, no more changes!
 
I'm bringing this thread back to the top per last night's GCC meeting.

Begin arriving 11:30 on with lunch to be served around 12:15-12:30pm. Kent & Jorja are providing the main course food and GCC providing bottled water & soda. Please bring any other drinks of choice and a chair. Side dishes and desserts are not required. BUT, if you're interested in bringing one please post what you're bringing so everyone knows and won't duplicate?

This is the 3rd try so Kent said it will be rain or shine!:cool: Daily drivers if weather doesn't cooperate. Address is on our Membership list but will also get posted as the date gets closer.

Always a great time!! :D
