Many have asked and commented about "thread management" on this forum. So, I'll remind everyone that I'll be keeping an eye on threads a bit more closely from now on. Posts that hijack a thread, or wonder off topic will be deleted - penalties may be assessed. The rules in the lounge will be a bit more relaxed.

Bottom line - stay on topic or else!

If you really need to say something - take it to the lounge with a new thread. Additionally, personal attacks, digs, or off-color comments will be dealt with swiftly and harshly.

Also, just a reminder - editing a post is bad manners. If you have to edit a post - put a reason in your edit comments. Constant editing of posts is just bad form - so beware.

Thanks

Thank You...!!!

Mark,

Thank you for taking corrective actions. Many agree that oversight has been needed for some time to minimize the off topic remarks, hijacked threads and incessant immature gibberish posted outside the lounge.

I am one of the guilty offenders for editing posts without explanation…so I offer it here for past posts. In most cases, posts were edited for spelling or grammatical errors. In some cases it was to add pertinent information without creating a new post. And in some cases it was to remove comments that might be perceived by some as inflammatory or too personal. In the future I will try to insure that an explanation is provided whenever an edit becomes necessary.

Thanks again for your continuing efforts to improve the forum.

Thanks Mark. I agree to keep things on topic, thought I had been monitoring that pretty good. Edits, mostly, because I forgot what something, and didn't see a need for a 2nd post, don't understand why that is bad form. Appears the digs are continuing, even in this thread. Later.

That is what makes my job harder.

K was and is right. The gibberish comments really don't belong where someone is seeking technical info, or trying to line up a cruise. It makes it hard to follow a 70 post thread for a simple day & time line-up for a get together.

Please, no more digs - either fully direct or between the lines.

I like everyone here - and everyone's feelings matter to me.

So, pleeeeeeese - play nice.
