A number have reported issues with forum speed. I too was having problems. I chased it down and think I've found the problem and a solution.
It appears the nameservers for ATT UVerse are having some issues. Charter subscribers, this won't affect you, but ATT DSL and UVerse . . .
You can change nameservers (if you're computer literate) but you can't change the UVerse nameserver without breaking your television service. But there is a way to correct this.
On your computer (not your router or DSL modem), go to the settings for the network adapter and open the properties. Highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click Properties. I bet you'll see the bottom radio button is set to "Obtain DNS server address automatically"
If you change it to preferred providers, you can force your computer to use faster servers than the UVerse default one (and not break your TV connection)
The two I like to use are OpenDNS (208.67.220.220) and/or Google (8.8.4.4) I use two different services, that way, if one is having an issue, the other will resolve your request.
Changed mine and I find the connections are much faster.
If you want to check into which one works best from your location, here are two different free services that will download a utility to run on your system and tell you which one performs the best
The Google one really gets it right, but it takes about 15 minutes to run. It gives you preferred settings while the Gibson one only shows which one is faster and you have to decipher.
FYI
