There was a similar thread for this on the FFCars forum but it didn't appear to go anywhere. List price is $995, freight included. Freight is typically about 7% of the price. Trade discounts on automobile lifts is around 30-35% which would make mfg price around $600.

Haven't seen any discounting on the product, nor have I seen any ads outside BenPak for the product. It was just introduced so I suspect they are holding firm on pricing to skim the cream.

The design is not new, however the approach is novel. There are some inherent issues with dual cylinders and synchronization. They are trying to get around it using pressure accumulators to push the unit down once the weight is removed. Time will tell if it works or not.

I suspect it will be a good deal for track use, not so sure for garage use. limited capacity. They tell you 3,500 lb capacity. but the fine print is 1750 per side. That assumes the car is balanced on the lift side to side. It would be pretty easy to get it off center and the lift not raise a "heavier" Cobra. Again, time will tell if it works or not.

I'd sit tight for a while. First adopters often get burnt in this industry.

Thanks Paul, what I was looking for. We may buy one for the race car, will let everyone know if we do.

When I built our 5500 sq ft shop at the farm I poured two piers for a fixed 12,000 lb twin column lift since we have 10 ft ceilings in the building

For me...that is a more useful lift at twice the price than something portable and suitable just for a light car only.

My needs are for for everything from a 4WD ATV to the Acura to a 2500 Suburban to a 6,800 lb 4wd Kubota.
