FFR Forum

As I posted on the FFCars forum, I signed on, but am not real impressed. I dont facebook and thats the feel I get there. So far it's all so, "oh oh look at me" twitter tweet blog blog, i dont get into that at all.

I have registered but haven't spent any time on it. I don't facebook either. The last thing I need is all my old girlfriends looking me up!)

I'm On the other side

I bet this is the last nail for FFCars. When the new owners raised prices and added 3rd party advertising, was the beginning of the end. Now that Factory Five is sponsoring their own forum, I bet owners go there for technical support.

Won't be long before FFCars is just an old site that people used to use. People (and sites) tend to follow the money. How much money if FF going to invest with the new owners?

I think the die is cast

Those don't use Facebook are going to be passed up by what will be. Social media will be here for a while. It isn't all about your past, what about family and current friends? Great way to post pics for those folks to see. It isn't all about farmville/town or any of the other games either, contrary to what people may think. I use it to communicate daily with my sister and brother as well as my cousins. YOU have the choice of allowing old girlfriends back in to your lives on Facebook. It's not age limiting, friends/family as old as 70 are using it. And really, how much different is it than this forum? Lot's of updates on there from Factory Five with pictures that you may or may not be able to get from their website. I don't see anything really wrong with it. Of course, like anything, it can be misused.

Paul, maybe. I still think FFC will survive due to the amount of archived info there. The advertisements don't really bother me, necessary evil to continue running the site. Most all the forums are still currently free, which may change, and if that happens, then yes, mass exodus to FFR.
