Well, I hope everyone had a good father's day. I write this today with a humble outlook. Yesterday morning, Michelle and I had a discussion about my recent attitude around the house...it was becoming apparent that I was spending too many late nights up working on my cobra, not getting enough sleep, and I was grumpy and taking it out on the family.
Damn, don't you hate the wake up call? Anyway, just to let you all know, I saw the light, and spent the day with the family, doing things they wanted to do, and not just sticking my head in the garage all day ignoring them.
We had a nice afternoon (albeit hot) taking the family horse Coady to Queeny Park and doing a family trail ride/walk through the park. Michelle has alterior motives and is now revealing to me that she plans to have me ride the horse. This explains why she got such a large paint horse, and a large western saddle (I wondered why the thing was too big for her). I'm open to learning how to ride, it should be fun. Her horse is great, he put up with a greenback getting on his back...sittling imbalanced and all. Didn't try to bolt or buck me off. My son also rode for a portion of the trip, and then when Michelle finally got on, Coady was all happy to have an experienced rider and then took off at a cantor and you could see he was relieved to not have to hold back. The trailer of the horse worked out well, or new FJ Cruiser did a good job with the trailer, and the electronic braking system on the trailer was a dream (had to have the controller installed yesterday by U-Haul).
We conclUded the day by having my folks over and Dad did his famous BBQ. I even went to bed before 9:30 pm, which is why I did not post anything last night.
As for the future, I told Michelle I will work on building the car when Liam is still awake, and include him more in the build, rather than starting on things after 10pm at night and staying up to 1am.
So - no new items to post on my build progress this weekend, because other than mounting up my wheels on Saturday, there was no progress.
Have a good week! Happy Father's day (belated)
