If I could come up with it, I would consider this car and offer $24k - $25k.

Nice looking car Tim, especially for a Challenge car. Could that compete is the Spec Series? (looks like it)

Sounds very well built and comes with 335's in the rear (with flares). Also has the 2 spec racer windshields.
Lots of nice features.

Can anyone explain the wheel studs (look excessively long?) and the additional cover on the trans tunnel (mid-shift linkage cover??).

Kerry, correct me if I'm wrong, but typically, longer studs are preferred for track cars for locating the wheel on the hub and more threads for the nuts. I submitted an offer that was turned down :-(

Those are ARP NASCAR Speed Studs. As you correctly assumed...they are for rapid mounting of the wheels during a pit stop.
