A couple of us at David's open house / garage party were discussing engine oil and I couldn't remember exactly what I just changed to.
Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 Synthtic Plus 10w-30

It's what my engine builder recommended and it's manufactured in St. Louis.
Amazon sells it, you can buy it online from Schaeffer's, and at a number of local retailers (NAPA sells it, not sure if they carry that specific type/weight, I'm going to check). Or you can search on their website: Schaeffer Retail Locator
 
I have a friend who is a Schaeffer Oil Representative. There's high probability we could put together a group buy if anyone is interested. Might save a couple dollars over the Amazon price.
 
I'd be interested as well. I use the same Supreme 7000 Racing Oil. Last bought from JD Industrial Supply.
 
I spoke to my contact at Schaeffer - he's put together a very attractive package for us. These oils will apply to our daily drivers or to our cobras.

All the oils are a blend so they are compatible with our older engine design and seal materials.

I questioned about the value of Racing Oil. He said it has a little different additive package but primarily it was a higher percentage of Dino oil versus Synthetic oil to combat fuel breakdown caused by Methanol. He felt we would not experience any benefit and the disadvantage is the cost.

The only catch is they must be ordered in case lots. That doesn't mean you must buy a case, but the total buy needs to come to an even case. We can split them amongst ourselves if you don't want a full case. If you want a smaller quantity, maybe post the type and amount below and we can try to put it all together

The oil is ordered thru him and we pick it up in Saint Louis. We can do the money collection/payment thru the club so we can combine the many into one order.

Thanks Paul! That sounds like a very good deal.
I called NAPA yesterday (they were on the Retailer list on Schaffer's website) and they said there was only one privately owned store (Fenton) that sold in St. Louis, but he didn't think they still did. Also called Widman Harley (they were also on Schaffer's Retail list). They said they only special ordered it and it would be about $20 a qt (ouch!). So your contact is giving a pretty good price!

I also found out Schaffers is only about 5 miles from me, it's off of South Broadway, close to the River City Casino. interesting
 
I just updated the original post to include pricing on a couple of additional oils.

He also offered us their 'analysis' package at a very attractive package. Analysis kits are available in 3 or 6 packs at 12.88 each report. This is a really good deal - I've been using Blackstone on each change and their price is $40 per sample. I've attached a sample report.

I'll volunteer to be the focal point on this. If you're interested in participating in a group buy, please speak up and post here. If you only want a part of a case, please post that also and we can try to marry groups together

Speaking to my contact, I am going to drink a large glass of the Kool-Aid. I am ordering a case of 5W30 for my dailies and a case of 15W40 Diesel for my cobra and some analysis kits.

Would like to do this sooner than later, please speak up

Yes checked Amazon on my past HR2Driven HotRod 10w-30=$130+ and Schaeffer was $135+… so group buy is much better indeed…thanks

Was going to share with the MACC tonight, Any chance of getting 5 cases of 20w-50 0705-12. Been using Schaeffer in all the cars since Joe at denbeste got me hooked, it’s great stuff.

Sounds great, thank you. I know Karl also wanted a few cases. I posted up on the MACC page. I will try to get a list together and forward mid next week once I get some feed back.
