Thought I'd share a couple photo's of the drop trunk on my build. Mark P gets the credit for doing the layout and making the patterns, I just bend the metal. :)
Mark, notice the small panel to get to the QJ bolts, also the small black plug, thats for the trunk latch bolt. To finish I plan on a piano hinge so the top cover will fold up and back.

Thought I'd just add some new pictures. I'm so happy that the headers clear the new enlarged foot boxes, and I moved the fire wall forward about 2".

That's great news Rich!
Motor looks great in there!

Any issues with header height? Are they even where the side-pipes connect?
Is the driveshaft going to fit ok?

Looks great Rich. With moving the firewall forward 2 inches, that should provide a lot more space behind the dash

Skip, that is exactly what I have planned, just havent done it yet. No Mark I didnt switch out the pan yet. Installing the engine wasnt really planned, sorta just happened. I started out just going to move it out of the corner, then decided to see if it would lift high enough the way I had it chained. Once I had it up in the air, well you see the results. It has to come out to rivet the foot boxes anyway, then I'll do the pan.

Mark, fixed my throttle cable. Just need to clean up and powder coat.

Yes I have the throttle connected, seems to feel good, I can easily move to the outer hole. It may be one of those things that needs to be tried once the engine is running. When is your new purchase arriving?

Don't know yet, gotta talk to him next week. I told him no hurry.

Did ya buy anything on FFR's Black Friday?
I picked up a full Stainless Steel bumper set and a hood hinge kit.
I think I bought about as much as Santa can afford for this Christmas!

Nice bracket

Very nice cable bracket Rich. I was not so inventive but my zip ties have worked for 10 years now so I'm not going to change it :D

Spent a little more time on the trunk this weekend. Got the hinges done and went ahead and riveted the floor. And a few other things as well, some I didnt bother taking pictures of.

I needed an oil temp bung in the oil pan, so I turned one down to fit, just need to get it welded in place.
