Saturday night I attended the SCCA annual awards banquet and walked away with a nice trophy for taking 1st place in the XP class.

Also the key speaker was Mr. Curtis Francois, new owner of Gateway Motorsports Park. He is a huge fan of racing and wants to really expand the facility for all racers. He was talking about a cart and motocross track being added. He wants everyone with a fast car to come get on the track. His vision is really amazing. I just hope he can make a go of it.

Congrats Mike, Lets hope his vision for Gateway holds I for one would love to see Nascar come back to the track.

Oh just you wait and see! The car will be lighter, faster, and hopefully my driving will improve also. I just got my custom made 10qt road race oil pan installed. New engine should be ready to go in soon.

Can't wait to see it. How are the upgrades going? Did you get your new motor in yet?

I definitely want to get out there to see more events this year (and the St. Louis Regional Champion in Action! :D)

Please post the schedule when it's available (will all of the events still be at the Family Center?)

I borrowed a bare block from a friend and it is installed in the car. Last week I got the motor mounts cut and will weld them in next week. Then it is on to wiring and custom exhaust. I hope to do a 1st start sometime in Feb.

I will post the scheduale when I can.
