Well, hooked for another season. Ever watch this show? Looks like fun for a day, but would suck for the rest of the time. Would NOT want to make a living doing this. I don't see how the guys stand the constant battering of the sea water pounding them and rolling the whole time.

They make like 50k or 60k each for the fishing season if I remember right.
Love that show - and Ice Road Truckers, and those logging shows.

All that crab, and no way to boil water with the boat rockin' like that:mad::mad:

I love Deadliest Catch. 7 souls lost on last nights show. Not one of the shows regular ships but the regulars knew them. It was sad to see Phil left behind when the CorneliaMarie had to leave without him because of health reasons in the opening episode. Captain Phil is a great guy. I love watching him give it to his son's when they screw up. Not sure exactly why but if I had the guts to do that (and I don't) I would want to go with Sig.

TIVO is your friend

Already have my Tivo Box set to record the series. Way too cool. Talk about a job that sux, 30hrs straight work, and in those conditions.

and I think my job is hard

I was in Seattle over the past w/e visting my son. One of the things we did was take the cruise thru the lock's from lake Washington to the Puget Sound.
The Wizard and the NorthWestern were there as well as 2 of the boats from the first episodes were in dry dock.
There was a convention for "Deadliest Catch" on Saturday nite. I couldn't believe the number of groupies there(almost all 35-50 y/o women). They have web sites dedicated to each boat with up to 5,000 members..almost as bad as us Cobra guys.
It was neat to see the boats...got some pics if anyone is interested.

Heck yeah, post them pics! My sons got me hooked on this show a few years ago. Seems like one large family amongst the boats and their crews. It still amazes me some of the shots the cameramen get. Those guys are nuts too! I guess if I had a boat to go on, I would be on the Time Bandit. Those guys stick together and even though a tough side is shown many times, the episode like last night you can tell really get's to them. Fun group too. That scene where the Cornelia Marie is pulling away with Cap'n Phil on the dock was sad to see. Looked like he was going to jump back on the boat for a bit there. Glad to know I'm not the only one who likes it.
