BTW - his mother is/was a US Citizen from Kansas. I know when my son was born, since I was a US Citizen, he was automatically a US Citizen (although my wife was Canadian). I think this applies no matter where they are born. But it is shown he was born in Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was eventually raised by his maternal grandmother - Madelyn Dunham, who died on Sunday night, Nov. 2, 2008.

There is much more detailed information available that places valid doubts on Obama's birth than that which is posted on Wikipedia.
To gain a better understanding of those details I would suggest reading the documents filed with the Supreme Court and the multiple affidavits included as supporting evidence, as the most current information is spelled out clearly. All of these document are found at the earlier link.
When Barack's mother divorced Barack's father and remarried an Indonesian national, she forfeited her US citizenship, as Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship. With a new Indonesian father, Barack...then known as Barry Obama automatically became an Indonesian citizen. It was the only way that he could be admitted to an Indonesian School. It is true that Obama's mother could have reapplied for US citizenship when she returned to the states but there is no record of her doing so. But even if she had done so..Barack would then have become a "naturalized citizen"...and still would not be qualified as a presidential candidate as the constitution requires a "natural born citizen".
The first "certificate of birth" posted on the Obama web site was denounced by three separate forensic experts as being a forgery. A second but different "certificate of birth" was then placed on Obama's web site. Why would this have been done if the first document was valid?
Hawaii issues two different birth documents. A "certificate of birth" and a "certification of birth". Obama has been unable or unwilling to provide valid copies of both documents. If he had as requested...this entire issue would be dead. The second document contains the names of the delivering doctor, assisting nurse, birth weight,etc. Obama refuses to provide access to these documents and the records were just recently sealed by the State of Hawaii.
Now Obama's surviving grandmother has made a statement as corroborated in the two affidavits filled Oct 27th , that she was present when Obama was born...in Kenya. This is what predicated the filing on Oct 31st to the Supreme Court.
Again...there is much more information and current details than what is found on generic sites such as Wikipedia.
