I am curious how many use AAA and which plan vs those who choose to "go naked" or have coverage by their auto insurer for Road Insurance

I have the Premier level AAA and wouldn't go without it. They towed my truck from east of Effingham, IL to Wildwood for $0. I pay for my daughter and granddaughter to have it too.
One of the great things about AAA is that it follows the member, not the car. So if you're with someone when they break down and they don't have a plan you can call AAA.

The AAA Plus plan allows 4 - 100 mile tows per membership year. These could be "strung together" to get you about 400 miles, if needed. Also, I got my wife signed up this past membership year for a discounted rate ($117 total) - and that gives us another 400 miles worth of tow distance! No fear of going to London Cobra Show!
The 5 or so times we have used AAA in the 20 years probably equal what I have paid in dues. But, the discounts available at many, many merchants is a fringe benefit often overlooked.
