WOW! I wonder if the one from Glen Carbon is Kent & Jorja? They went on the fall colors run with us. That was one sweet ride. Man that is an excellent buy! Love his color scheme.

I know prices have fallen, but were LA Exotics ever higher priced cars? I just don't know much about them.

That is an LAE just like mine...slightly different color...mine British Racing green with Wimbleton white stripe.
Bryan and his dad started LAE out in California..they wanted to go back home to Missouri and sold it on contract to some guy that started ripping people off and not paying Bryan.
The repo'ed it and moved back to Missouri and renamed it B&B. You all know the rest of the story.
All parts are interchangable between LAE & BB. They build a real solid car and I would not put it in the low end class. Mine was built in 1995...no stress cracks, doors don't rattle and close with a good tight sound. It is in need of paint but other than that is a great ride.
Plus you would be hard pressed to find a more helpful company to do business with..they did not build mine but have answered every question when I called and provided me with both the technical and parts I have needed...they don't say"I'll have some one call you back", Bryan usually comes to the phone right then...super people...I would love to have one of thier '34s.
If you need more testimony, get in touch with Clois Harlan...they are building a coupe to his specs...it was at the Runngunn.

To be clear. When I say that LAE's were not high priced, I'm putting them in the same category as FFR, Hurricane, Shell Valley, etc. There were real high priced names that went under about the time that B&B was going through the transition. Hi-Tech & Contemporary come to mind.

Way too subjective for me. I will say that if I had unlimited funds I would have a Kirkham in the garage now. It would be aluminum and painted solid red. Superformance and Backdraft will always have consistently good quality because they are factory built in controlled environments. That said, I love the look, period feel and overall quality of the Superformance car but don't care for the Backdraft for a couple of visual reasons that may or may not matter to anyone else. It's a great, good handling, high quality car that is loved by many, just not me. I also understand that some people may think my car sucks and that's OK, only I have to like it. There are cars I would not have at any price but I would not mention them by name. "Builder" cars come in so many different interpretations and build qualities that you sometimes have to look really close to see what you've got underneath it all. Not the manufacturers fault on bad builds in most cases but they take the wrap. Bottom line for me is as long as someone is happy with their Cobra, I am very happy for them. I appreciate all the work and $$$ that folks put into them.

I like the West Coast Cobra FatFender/ThunderThighs look. Not too keen on their dash insert with the imitation burled walnut look, but other than that I like it. It's definitely different.
