It's interesting how the price of built cars is climbing. Maybe finally truly showing how much these things cost to build.
However, we need to remember that the true value of a vehicle is not what the owner is asking, but what the buyer is willing to pay. And a 'No Sale' indicates overpricing.
I really hope they are able to command their numbers. A rising tide lifts all boats.
For insurance purposes, I keep a list of components and current rebuild costs for my cars. I encourage everyone to do this and be prepared for a real shock.
Tim has said it before: the best way to get into the hobby is to purchase a used car and modify it to suit what you want. But I suspect that too will involve much more than than what you first estimated
