The people who did the coasters for us are involved in the local Corvette club. They are holding an AutoCross at the GM plant in Wentzville and we've been invited to attend.

Aug 21-22. I've attached the flyer. These aren't your typical "plastic pigs" a couple of the guys use Grand Sports to play with.

I wouldn't mind doing this, close to home too. :D Just bringing this ttt for people to put on their schedules.
 
That might be fun.

Hopefully they'll let us run. I heard those Chebbie guys are scared of snakes.
 
I wouldn't say that. Respectful maybe, but generally if they get too close we cut their heads off and then don't worry about them at all. :rolleyes::eek:

Still this might be fun.
 
I think I will be ready for this. Is anybody going? I think I am going to go and bring some of my Corvette buddies with me.
 
Any interest in this? It's coming up. Anyone know what the events consist of?
 
I am going to run either this event or the test and tune at gateway on Sunday. The cost is $90 for the Corvette event and $60 for the test and tune. I am leaning toward the test and tune due to the cost, and gateway is a better surface to race on, plus you only work 1 hour and drive the rest of the day. You can swap cars, ride along with anyone, or take family and friends for a spin (literally). I think as a group it would be fun to have a bunch of runs riding in each others cars. I got 20 runs in during the last one and had the opportunity to let a national level driver drive and help me tune the car. He would be glad to show you what yours is capable of and help you sort out the handling.

If the Snake & Eggs is still on this weekend (it's on the calendar for 8/21), I was going to stop for breakfast then head over.

Mark are you planning on racing or spectating? I would like to run this or the test and tune at gateway on Sunday. The autocross is usually an all day thing.

I have a feeling if I did the Corvette club I would be showing up by myself again.
 
I don't plan on going at this time, may change my mind after breakfast Saturday :D
 
I was planning on going. If snake and eggs is moved to Sunday though I might still show up, but do they run in the rain?
