The new 7.3L Ford truck engine for 2020: 445c.i., 411hp, 434 lb-ft of torque?

I kind of expected more out of this beast. I just looked up the specs on a 2018 coyote: 460hp, 420 lb-ft of torque.
Wonder what it would tune to?

Numbers haven't been released....

Filling the gap between the 6.2-liter gasoline engine and the 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel, Ford claims the 7.3-liter engine will be the most powerful gas V8 in its class. Ford has declined to reveal power figures at this time, but claims the engine will be a significant step up into a whole new segment, and an ideal engine for 3/4 and 1-ton trucks and fleet vehicles. For reference, the 6.2-liter gas engine produces from 385 to 411 hp (based on application), and 405 to 434 lb-ft of torque. The current 6.7-liter PowerStroke produces 450 hp and 935 lb-ft.

Cast iron block...pushrods...two-valve cylinder = truck engine.
Will likely get reasonable fuel economy with those heads...but not a good candidate for high performance.

It might make a good candidate for boost.

Forged crank...6 bolt mains...thick cast iron cylinder walls...increased center to center bores...lowered ring lands moved down the piston dome.
If it has forged rods and pistons...it could be a great engine.

15 lbs of boost on a stock block and this might have some serious HP potential.
