Was looking at my decal set this weekend, and cleaning up the garage some. I came across several adhesive stickers. I usually stick these to my toolbox, but got to thinking, if I had some blank white static cling vinyl, could I attach an adhesive sticker to it and it still perform like a pre-made vinyl static cling or would the stiffness of the adhesive sticker keep it from adhering properly? I kind of want stuff I actually use on the car, like the Koni decal I have, would like something from Ford (powered by Ford), Factory Five Racing, and maybe a custom GCC graphic. As you all know, stickers are worth at least 10mph on the track as well as the intimidation factor ;) :D Keith, can the graphic artist make custom graphics for us?

I don't know about the 10 MPH, but I love the cool factor of it. I think the static vinyl with the sticker may work. For some scrap vinyl from the graphics guy, it would be worth a test. ;)

The business that my wife worked for closed there doors in February,so I have no access to the printer/plotter.I do have a strip of static cling vinyl about 5"x30 if you want to try an adhesive sticker on it, I see no reason why it won't work.If they were still around they could have made anything you could dream up.

Wy wife has a paper cnc machine that can cut 12"x12" max. It can do letters, numbers, and circles very easily.

Mike - so it will print on vinyl?

Tom - do you know why it wouldn't re-apply? I mean, were the yellow stripes too stiff or something?

I have a color laser printer, will it print on vinyl? Would really like to stick the GCC logo on my car while in Texas.

Would this work? It doesn't really say it's adhesive, and it does say it can be re-used - http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/304548/Cricut-Vinyl-Transfer-Tape-12-x/

I think it was a combination of things as to why they wouldn't work again. It was hot when I removed them and cold when I tried to put them back on after they sat in the garage all winter. I had also just waxed the car before trying to put them on and that didn't help anything. You may have far better luck.

I am making a static cling decal that is printed then the Terlingua sticker goes onto it, so it will be removeable. I purchased static cling film that is for a laser printer from a place in Oklahoma. craftyprinter.com

Stuff is a little pricey - about $2.50 per sheet once you figure shipping. Don't know if it will work but going to give it a try

You can also get plain white static cling from Stone's Signs in St. Charles (Hwy94) Ask for Angela
