I don't know who was the prime driver behind the web based calendar?

I found it extremely useful for planning my trips to various Swap Meets.

But recently, non are listed. I know there are some out there Any chance this could be revitalized?

I was the one initially.................

in Mar. or Apr. who posted most of the events & swap meets on the club's calendar. Here's the link I used to obtain the info. http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/lakerscarclub/ BTW I used to go to a lot of swap meets when I restored my 57 chevy nomad & enjoyed it a lot. Went to the "April fools" swap meet put on by Okaw Valley Classics car club in Waterloo, IL. & didn't care for it. I discovered that it seemed like everything there was junk. Back in the "old days" before ebay you could find good quality swap meet restoration parts @ swap meets now it seems like the good stuff is sold on ebay @ high dollar prices. Ebay great for sellers, not so good for buyers. What has your experience been like Paul? BTW I would love to go to some swap meets with you some time. Give me a call or post a thread re: a future swap meet you intend to attend. BTW Didn't mean to hijack your thread. REdirect the thread on topic if you wish or I will start a new thread. EDIT Just posted a swap in Dec. for ya Paul on club's Cal.

Were you the one who posted all the dates? or was it someone else?

It was one of the best, most comprehensive listing of Swapmeets and car shows in the region.

To my knowledge, there isn't a good site to get this info and I have missed many due to poor publication by the sponsors

I was the one who did it. I will try to find some more time in the near future to do it again for everybody based on available info. Your Friend & Counselor David. Again let me know if you want some company for swap meets. I usually enjoy them. I used to drive to Chicago & Indy on some occasions for swap meets.
