Buy new tires lately?

So do they recommend getting rid of all tires after 6 to 7 years of age? I couldn't tell if that was the Federal Gov'ts sugestion? My Camry is 6.5 years old, with only 25k...will go check the age of the tires now...

I believe the main beef was new tires sitting on the shelf without use for 6 - 14 years. Shelf life is 6 years. As you know, if you let a tire sit, it will dry out as opposed to daily use. Interesting, I looked at the replacement tires on my Cobra and that number they point out is curiously missing :rolleyes: Scott, what about your Cobra tires?
 
My Camry tires are goodyears (shouldn't be called that)...but noticed the production date on these was listed as the 46th week of 2001.

Will have to check my sumitomo's tonight when I get home. I don't expect they are very old since Sumi just started to make these sizes in the HTR ZIII's
 
Oddball, what about ur tires, didn't you get new one's?
