I'm hoping to be working on my car this weekend, but if I can wrap things up - I'll be there. I've seen it done a couple of times.:D

Put me down for some of that "and anything else"!:D

See you Sat. morning

Paul

Sorry John, I really wish I could make it but Andy & I are leaving for Road America early Friday and won't return until Monday evening.

John,
At the moment, I'm available Saturday morning to join the fun, planning to be there by 9am.

I want to see how many guys it takes to stuff that BIG block in that LITTLE car! :D

Do you need me to being anything? tools, gloves, duct tape, BFH?
Let me know.

Looking forward to it!
Weather channel is currently forecasting Saturday morning, 70's & 10% chance of rain.
Sounds like a good morning to get it done!

I'm ready

Oh boy, the main feature is about to begin

* There is endless debate about the existence of the Small block soul.
Well it does exist, and the Big Block guys find it delicious.

Good point. I guess that's what happens when a small block engine builder thinks he can shave a few pounds off the crankshaft of manly BIG BLOCK. Remember - When a Big Block powered car accelerates it's not actually moving, it's spinning the Earth underneath it. Big Block owners don't actually write this stuff, the words just assemble themselves out of fear.:D

Solution

Mark
the mystery is solved - we all agree the broken crankshaft came from vibration. We didn't realize it was SBF wrapped on the balancer that caused the out of balance condition.

You might want to consider a little finer mesh bug screen on the front end :D I have 1/4" mesh on mine but the small blocks are coming in smaller versions now, don't know if the 1/4" is giving adequate protection or not ? ? ?

Maybe other experts will help

ps: ZMan - ready for this discussion in your garage?

I was planning to bring gloves, but I think I'm going to be switching that to BOOTS! :D

I hope John's garage is big enough for everyone's head!

btw, these ARE funny! u guys r cracking me up this morning.

* Big Block Owners tear's could cure cancer. Too bad they have never cried but there are a lot of small block scientists in the world.

* Big Block engines do not shut off... they wait.

* Big Block horsepower dyno numbers have reached infinity. Twice.

* A Big Block owner does not go "racing" because the word racing implies
competition. The Big Block owner goes WINNING.

small block country is humiliation. And business is good.

Big Block Country imports half all fuel produced, driving up costs for all.

Oh, and they are also responsible for 90% of the melting of the Polar ice caps due global warming.

Well that explains the repetitive detonation of the big blocks then!!!!

This thread has also helped me figure out what big block guys do while waiting on the their engines to get fixed. I should have read this sooner but I was out driving!
