Bonfire 2018

The heat will be on in the shop, and the ladies can certainly move to the house if they want.
 
Regrets for Barbie and I tomorrow, have fun be safe...sorry to miss the Annual Bonfire... the good news is Barbie is recovering very nicely....she thanks everyone for the well wishes, phone calls, and words of encouragement ... we will be there in sprit...
 
Ian, wish her well for me. We will miss the both of you.
I got some snow, not a lot.

For those who would like a cheap blanket to wrap up in Saturday night...I carry these in the cars as emergency blankets during the winter.
They actually work pretty well...especially for blocking the wind.

Just copy the coupon and use at your local Harbor Freight.

You will thank me when it drops below 30 deg after dark...

...and once the bonfire is lit...it will protect you from getting singed on your front... while icicles form on your back...:)

Rich, wanted to thank you for hosting another great bonfire! Surprisingly (at least to me) the colder temps really didn't impact the evening. We all stayed pretty warm. And looking at these pics you'll know why...it was one big fire!! :cool::)

I"m glad that everyone braved the cold, at least till the fire started. It's always fun to have friends come out and put up with me. :eek:

Jesus we could see the flames and smoke all the way over here in Lake Saint Louis....looked like a big un....Rich prevails again.... any shooting going on? Darn it missed that, really wanted to break in Big Bertha... always the next time... glad all had a great time...
 
Ian, I wouldn't refer to a 9mm as "Big Bertha" ;) Just kidding though. Remember trigger control is hitting what you aim at. You and Barb were missed

Bring your beverage of choice, a chair and anything else you desire. It looks to be rather on the cool side so dress accordingly. You may come at anytime, if you'd like to do a little target shooting arrive early, the sun sets sooner now with the time change. I'll light the fire jus before sunset.

Rich, I pulled up last year's bonfire posts so anyone who hasn't been before can see what they've been missing!! Also changed the date to 11/09/19. Are there any updates from last year that you'd like to add? I have bowls, spoons, plates and napkins that I can bring if need some? Can also bring beef franks again if you'd like? Mike
 
Thanks Mike, I can fire up the grill if anyone wants franks with the chile
