Why do we human beings seem to love to find fault with one another, put each other down and say cruel things about and to each other? Could it be that we want to to make ourselves feel superior to others and that we want others to think that we are superior to others? Paul said: "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." Eph. 4:29. Thumper said to Bambi: "If ya don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all." Wonderful words to live by. Too often we human beings reply to kindness with kindness and reply to cruelty with cruelty. The harder thing to do, is to what Jesus requires of us. Reply to to hatred with love, reply to cruelty with kindness and love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves. So especially at this time of year and all year long for that matter, I pray that we would all be kind to one another, say kind things to one another and above all else love one another.
