All, I've been working hard on a new project. Our daughter auditioned and got a part in the play Beauty and the Beast, and, as a "theater-parent", had to help with the set and props. Somehow, I got voluntold to make the rose with falling petals. It had to be remote controlled and look 'magical'. So, I think they got what they wanted, lol. At any rate, our whole family has been working hard with the rest of the theater families on making this a great show. If you get a chance, please come see it! There are two showings today, one next friday, and two next saturday. I'll post up some pics later on. "Break a leg!"

Here's the info:

Two showings today. Hope to see you there! RESERVE YOUR TICKETS FOR THIS WEEKEND! Spend an enchanted evening enjoying the O’FallonTheatreWorks’ summer Youth Theatre production of Beauty & the Beast, Jr. Featuring a large cast and chorus, an elaborate set surrounding the audience, great costumes, dancing and singing and favorite songs including “Be Our Guest,” “Belle,” “Something There,” and “Beauty & the Beast,” performances will be staged on June 19-20 and 26-27 at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Curtain times are 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with Saturday matinees beginning at 2 p.m.
The classic fairytale of an arrogant prince transformed into an angry, bad-mannered Beast by a witch’s spell is based on Disney’s animated film, Beauty and the Beast. For the curse to be lifted and the Beast return to human form, he must find true love and inspire it in return. But with time running out, will he learn his lesson before the curse traps him, forever? Thanks to a palace full of singing and dancing cutlery, furniture, a motherly teapot and the beautiful, kind-hearted Belle, it’s a musical with the makings of a happy ending.
A $2 discount will be given on Beauty and the Beast tickets purchased in advance at the Renaud Spirit Center, or reserved by calling 636-474-2732.
