back home with #6945

Congrats! If we create your own build area, now that you have your own car, will you join and post pics of your progress for us?

So I enable the help of my buddy at the pentagon in charge of satellite imagery and came across this from yesterday

Hey, CONGRATS BigLeo, that is very cool!
Keep us posted on your build progress.
Gimme a call if you need any help or want someone to bring the beer! I'd love to help. After putting time in with Scott and Tim, I'm learning bit n pieces as I go.

Roadtrip 6945

cross winds were gusts at 44 mile an hour at times, snow in new york but Mass. was a beautiful state, similar to Mo from a carpenters point of view nicely built homes too.But is was like a dream coming across IN. just east of indy it was dark nothing on the highway then out of the black sky and dark road... along side of us, 'a rumble' and a 'varoommm' a silver w/black striped roadster flew by with a guy wearing a yellow hat and yellow jacket i don't think he saw that he just passed a roadster pushing a f-350 crew cab with a "7.2oops" 7.3 powerstroke, no varoom noise just clik clik clik clik for those who know the noise, but pulls like a frieght train. made it home in 23 hours an hour faster coming home with my car pushing us:Dwell we left at 7pm thursday night drove in rain for probably 90% of the trip got to foxboro, ms and grabbed a room with a view of the rain and we drank ourself to sleep for 6 hrs, up Sat.and headed to FFR got there about 8:45 went on a tour and yes Mike D. that GTM is low to the ground, great leg room but my long legs crawled out didnt like my head touching the headliner not good for anyone my HT... great facility FFR clean and to brighten it up they had the Eagle,Globe and Anchor hanging above the weld shop..i met Cobra302 there he invited us for a breakfast with some of their group but we had to hit the road before we saw more rain:eek:Met DavidCT he took the pic and wanted to post it so i agreed they were all amazed that it fit like a glove on the structural rack.some seemed amazed:rolleyes:complete kit boxes over-relmed me that was what i was concerned about but it fit! i am forever greatful to my nephew and best buddy my neighbor john but who could pass up a free trip we had fun most of the time thru the slapp-happiness
of no sleep and i only spent 700 plus for the whole trip even with a 120 dollar room in MA,but with instructions from my older bro on his truck we only averaged 62 mph the whole trip the power-band at 2000rpm on the deisel gave us about 22mpg up and 18 on return..
stopped to see the east coast near Wareham i was wearing my Cards ensemble the whole trip home:Dgo Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7.2 power stroke?? did you destroke it or sleeve it.
Joking.
I have a 7.3 in an F350 dually crew cap and love it....4" straight thru exhaust, Super chip, PSE intake. Runs like a bandit.
with 4.10 gears I get about 20 bobtail and 15 pulling my 28' box trailer.
Congrates on beginning your "journey".
Wife and I are in process of installing new carpet my snake...about 1/2 done.
Gotta get it done in time for the Hot Rod Power Tour this year.

That is an awesome idea for carrying the body on the truck. Still suprised all the boxes fit. :D Now, get off here and get to inventory (or to opening day, like me :D)

They actually shipped your rear axle with your kit? That's news. Most everyone for the last year (including me) had to wait 8-12 weeks to get these drop shipped from HTC.

Leo...I have a 9" 3.50 posi if you are interested...also have 3.73 with the mini spool for straight line guys.

my neighbor might be interested for his rat-rod we had a posi set up in it but she squeeelled like a pig, they were used gears the only thing that it could of been was the guy sold him un-matched gears thats what we concluded. the 3.50 would be good for him he is running the old 727 with the same year 392 Hemi and it wraps high rpm's on the hi-way with the gears he is running now.. 3.27 is more of his liking but i believe the 3.50 would do him justice...... e-mail me some pics and a price of both big brother only runs 4.11 on up to 5.86 in his broncos he is the proud owner of the 7.2+1 powerstroker:D sorry i wish i had the 9" going in mine but its set-up 8.8 3 link will do just fine. Leo

and to think its one of the main components to start with, with the B/O parts i should of got a rebate:rolleyes:the other thing is they got it as a t-5 transmount and i am going with a TKO-600 i did check my inventory and it is a 31 spline setup on the driveshaft just don't know if the t-5 and tko mounts are different? but soon to find out!!!;)lets see if i built a building and forgot the foundation u think i would get paid? kind of like Morse-deisel building a court-house with no roof and they are drywalling...a nice % check of the work to be completed would work for me lets see 31 B/O items and i ordered it dec 31. they should try to get all the parts together to save on their shipping and drop shipping costs dahhhhh:eek:
how does that engine respond of yours Scott is she pretty...u ought to take her out in the weather ..mine was already there snow rain wind and lots of it :D

Not sure what your talking about...I had mine out in the snow today under it's own power there Boss. Stop posting and start building. :p 31 items is nothing. You have over 40 aluminum panels you can start fitting and drilling. oh yeah, hope you bought a good supply of drill bits and cleco's.

Seriously, if you haven't heard a DOHC rev up with straight headers...it's sweet. I watched the IMRC solenoids open up today (didn't do that last week when I started it up)...all I can say is it got a lot louder! If you are not familiar with these, on my series DOHC, there are butterfly valves that keep two of the intake runners closed until the engine gets above a certain RPM (I think it is 3,200) and then all 8 of the intake valves are feeding the engine. I guess it was the new school (in 97) equivalancy to a 4 bbl secondary.

Hey BigLeo,
I bought Scott's pneumatic riveter last month. Since I won't be needing it for awhile, you're more than welcome to borrow it. (besides that, it gives me a good excuse to check out your new ride!)

Let me know. Mark

rivets i may be having my brother n law do all that he rivets fighter jets he can rivet a roadster for a ride:Dthats a nice engine Scott my nephew had a 97 cobra and was suppose to let me know when he was going to get rid of it but a UE truck wiped out the car on a city street he is the one in the pic at home with a croutch problem and i am going to bust his balls for screwing up my del. pic, all i wanted was the engine but its gone. the car is being massaged as we speak mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm she likes it too.. i am going to set up the chassis 1st but of course the left out parts that impedes my plan...so i will regroup and probably clean up the ass end and give it some paint along with any other parts on the suspension, i may take u up on the riveter MP though but not right now chassis first:rolleyes:
