You mention possibly running with MVP at Autobahn sometime during the summer. I spoke with a friend of mine and he said that Autobahn is nowhere near as forgiving as Putnam. Apparently there are a number of places with almost no runoff. One of the Superformance owners wrecked his car there.

None of this gives me warm fuzzies. I'll probably pass on running there.

Just don't go as fast. Good to learn the track. Doesn't seem so bad to me, looks like plenty of runoff in most turns, all but one I counted in the video below.

Steve,
You need to rethink your decision,The full course at Autobahn is a very cool track and a lot of fun, I dont think there is another track in the midwest with 23-24 turns, run off is reallly not an issue. Armco barriers are only in the straights.
You cant use Putnam as a guide line for run off or you won't run anywhere except maybe Council Bluff, Iowa.
The south course does have a few turns ( last two before the pit straight simalar to putnam)that are questionable but those are not used on the full course,so that may be where they lost the superformance.
All this from a guy with a thousand laps turned at Gateway ( no runoff) on a motorcycle.

Always wanted to run Road Atlanta and VIR but never got the chance.
I think Mid Ohio would be a great course for the cobras too.

Nice selection of tracks. MAM you can keep. I ran a 24-Hours of Lemons race there last August - WHEW! Hallett I love, just a blast.

Road Atlanta is my favorite track (so far). The elevation changes are terrific and it's just down right fun. Mid-Ohio (ran there with my CTS-V) is similar with the history and feel of the track. Haven't run VIR either, but would like to get there Laguna Seca and Infineon. We are currently working on a date at Infineon in Sonoma, CA.

Ahh, crap, I didn't get registered in time for the Novice group. Maybe next date.
