I wager that absolutely nothing of any substance will come out of the current talks going on in Copenhagen. I am about as guilty as anyone, but sooner or later the piper will be paid.

Personally I think that the earth population is just way, way too big, but Mother Earth has a way of taking care of herself. It will not be pretty.

While I understand the article somewhat and admittedly I am somewhat slow in some of this stuff. I don't believe it is as bad as it sounds. I listened to a meterologist speak about 5 years ago when this was just coming to light. His response was look at the history of the world. The world heats up and it cools down. It is not always good, but it is very cyclical. We go through different small cycles about every 30 years. I could be in denial, but I believe we are in one of those cycles, but world politicians are creating more out of it.
 
Yes, that is true, but the amount of carbon in the atmosphere has not been (according to the article in National Geographic) equaled in at least 300,000 years, and possibly a million.

Plus this population thing. In my lifetime I have seen the population of the earth double. There has to be a limit. I think we have already exceeded it. When populations exceed resources, there is big trouble. The greatest area of population increase is in the Muslim world. That is a double whammy.
 
Don't worry Karl. This old world has a number of ways to control populations without our help. But, if she needs help - we always have the US Marines ! :D
 
I hope The Kid is right & Karl is wrong, BUT............................? Time will tell as they say. Didn't somebody claim at some point in time in the past that the world was round & he was a nut case in his day & age? Also didn't some body also claim that the world was in orbit around the sun & he was nut case in his day & age? Ummmmmmmmmmmm. We'll see. Or somebody will see. :eek:
 
Question: if the population is exploding in the muslem areana....where are they going to find the 21 virgins as they surely have used them all in the procreation activity.

I've studdied enough to be "LEED Acredited" and know that all it is doing is making owners spend more money, while certian people get rich.
