Anyone know of a good home for our dog Honey?

As you know, we are moving soon to Columbus, Ohio. We have secured a place to rent for the next year (while we wait for our house to sell), and we are not allowed to have any dogs over 35 pounds. "Honey" is a wonderful Australian Shepard Mix, that we rescued from the Humane Society over 2 years ago. She is approx. 7 years old, is spayed, and is fully up to date on her vaccinations, etc. She is great with other dogs, and KIDS!!! We have a 6 year old son who loves to climb on her and she just sits and behaves. "Honey" also loves to go for long walks, and is good with horses (my wife used to take her trail riding with her horse last summer). At her last vet visit (earlier this year) she had a clean bill of health, and weighed in at 81 lbs. She is house broken, and all of her bad habits have been broken. Oh, and she is protective of the house and family. She won't bark unless provoked, and although she is sweet and mostly scared of new people, her bark will deter most people from messing with her or your family!

She is not much for playing fetch, but is great at catching popcorn thrown to her (quite fun to watch), and staring and squirells outside on the deck all day.

If you know of anyone who is looking for a good companion, please let me know.

Thanks,

Scott

Mike,

Let me discuss with my wife. Since we had no interest (up until now), she decided to get the dog training for being a ADA Service Dog, for our daughter Brett, who is disabled. They are now in the second week of doing this and the dog is actually now certified through a National Database as a service dog, and as such, she is now legally protected through the USDOJ and Americans with Disabilit Act, as a "Service Animal", and is no longer considered a pet...a legal loophole and a plus for both the dog and my daughter.

Thanks,
Scott
