Craig, I'm near there. I'll have to look at it from home though. I'll try to give you a call later.

Thanks, The guy insisted it was a hipo (K-code), but the vin says it is not (C code), so I am not quite so interested.

Craig, Email me with anything in particular you want me to look for. I should be heading over there this evening.

Just overall general condition (inside and out) rips tears, I know there is rust bubbling on the quarters. Thanks!

the seats are in generally good shape. No rips the back seat looks a little worse. The carpet is worn, but it's a 66. The dash wasn't bad. The is a center console that definitely isn't stock. The body and frame are what worry me. The back has bubbling rust at the same places on both sides at the seams or at least in the same places and there is through rust on the inner wheel wells. I got there after they had closed, soI wasn't able to look at the engine compartment. Is it salvagable, absolutely with time and money. Just not sure to what level of a fixer upper you're in the mood for. Me I'd pass. That said, if it were a 69 RS I'd have to think about it. Depends on what you're passionate about.

You know they make this new thing called a camera. It's pretty awesome ;) I bet Gateway Classic Mustangs could fix 'er up :D

Thanks that is exactly what I needed to know. There are (2) items now the guy was not honest about. 1. It was a hipo (k code) 2. factory pony car, with correct interior and console.

Thanks for your time, you saved me alot of it!!!

I don't need Gateway clasics, I'm looking for a drive for the Mrs, that is a project for me. I can do it, just need the time and right starter.

I see various older mustangs in my area. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll keep my eye out for you.

Craig,

I know of three original owner Mustangs 64-69-71 owned by a woman in her late 70's..and they are for sale. She has had them appraised and will not give them away but is hoping to find good homes for them. They are located in Beaufort MO.

What is your budget?

Kerry

Craig,

I just emailed Wanda and Bill to get further details on their cars and see if they wanted to provide their email address so you might contact them directly.

Will let you know when they respond.

They are both retired and these three cars have been Wanda's "babies" since they were new. They have been garaged always but need some cleaning and detail work. They are current stored in a metal building and have not been driven for years.

Kerry

Kerry,

Thanks for the info. Depending on their cost, I may be interested.
