Ter & I arrived yesterday on the Isle of Kauai. We are staying 7 days @ my Bros.'s condo near Princeville before we head over to Maui for 4 days then Oahu for 3 days before headin home. We went to Poipu Beach today. Saw the "Spouting Horn" blow hole near Poipu. Checked out the Rest. that Bruce & Debbie (SP2338) recommended, Duke's in Lihue. Plan to eat there one night this week. Taking a helicopter ride tomorrow to see the Na Pali coast on the west side of the island. Beautiful scenery here. :cool: Neat curvy roads for Cobras. :D Wish you guys were here so we could test them out the right way. :D BTW It's 9pm here & 2am there. :eek:

Great day today. If ya come to Kauai, put down the helicopter ride as a MUST do. It's fabulous & worth every penny. Had dinner at Duke's as recommended by Bruce & Debbie. Thanks again guys. Ter had fish tacos & they were killer. Afterwards drove to very west side of the isle to Polihale Park & saw the sun set into the ocean from the best beach on the isle. What a day. :)

Glad you are having such a great time. It is a beautiful island. Did you happen by a grocery store? Just curious if the prices are similar to what we saw. Don't forget to go to McDonalds and get a good WWII spam sandwich. Bruce & Deb
 
Yeah we went to Foodland in Princeville near where we are staying & bought about 20 small items & our bill was $92.00! :eek: Mahalo Tim & Bull.

No can do Mikey. You're NUTS. :D Taking a ride to go to the Kilauea Point Lighthouse then were going to the Post Card Cafe for Dinner tonight in Hanalei Bay. Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea, froliced in the autum mist in a land called Hanalei. http://www.postcardscafe.com/

Rain or shine w/x is great for me. :D Went to Secret Beach after we were at the Lighthouse. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?r...cal_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBwQqgUwAA Best beach I have been to on Kauai so far. Made only one mistake. Didn't take my camera with me. :eek::o Had to walk down a VERY steep narrow path approximately a 1/4 of a mile & then of course back up that path when we left. Oh well needed a workout anyway. :D
