Now Scott and I are even, and it's become a race
To get it together and drive at a quick pace

So while I sit here hunting through threads

Tons of ideas are going through my head

I think I've become a confused old soul

I think I'll go out tonight and lick a pole

I hope my little poem has brought a smile or two

Have a Merry Christmas and buy me a present too!

In case you didn't know, men, there are 5 shopping days left. You better check your list, maybe twice

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

With David in his old Vette and Skip in his cap

Tim had just tightened his belts around his lap.

When out of the starting gate I hear such a roar

Came a little Blue Car with a Big Block Ford. [URL="

Then what did we hear that made such a clatter
It was none other than Deano's GT 40, thats whats a matter
As he lost control and blew through turn four
We soon realized his rear clip was no more:eek:

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not a Cobra, not even a Rousch.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Cobra goodies would soon be there.

The GCC Guys were nestled all snug in their beds,
With dreams of slithering cruises dancing in their heads.
And Naja in his snakeskin, and Skip in his cap,
Had just settled down for a long winters nap.

When out of the garage there arose such a loud clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the garage door I flew like a flash,
Swung open the door and saw a man with a Cobra stash.

The lights of the garage gave illumination to a sight to behold,
It was an image of something to be told.
When, what to my excited eyes should appear,
But a Beasty Blue Cobra, with 581 cubic inches being towed by 8 tiny reindeer.

With a long haired driver, so lively and sharp,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Mark.
More rapid than Tim, his horsepower they came,
And he whistled, shouted and called them by name.

Now Tom, now Bull, now Scotty and Gary.
On Skip, on Naja, on Mike and Kerry.
To the Christmas tree and to the end of the drag strip,
Now speed away, go as fast as you can and don't trip.

And then, in a twinkling of the Christmas tree,
I heard sounds of horsepower and something sweet.
As I looked up to see the race,
There sat Tim in disgrace.

Marky Mark spoke not a word, but went straight to the pits,
Cause after all, Tim and Mark are as tight as Cobra kits.
And laying his hand on Tim's shoulder,
He gave a nod to Tim that I am wise and older.

Not to be outdone, Tim knew he would get even,
So off Tim went to Centerville, Mo to do some scheming.
And when he came into town,
Tim schemed of a way to make Mark look like a clown.

Tim spotted the County Mounty in a plain jane wrapper,
So he told Mark to do a burnout as a capper.
Much to his surprise,
Soon Mark found the Po-Po next to his Cobra in disguise.

So Mark sprang to his feet, to give his Serpent team a show,
And away he flew down the street on the go.
All were heard to exclaim as he drove out of sight,
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a Good-night.

COBRA YELLS

Racing through Arkansas we go
In Cobras all the way
O'er the roads we go
Laughing every way
Yells on Pigs Tail ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A Cobra song tonight

Oh, Cobra yells, Cobra yells
Cobras all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In Cobras all the way

A month or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Laurie Bright
Was seated by my side
My Cobra was lean & lank
Fortune seemed my lot
We got into a hairpin turn
And then Laurie got hot
Cause I lost it in a crash & burn

Oh, Cobra yells, Cobra Yells
Cobras all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride
In Cobras all the way

Laurie got mad at me
But soon she forgot
As I turned my Cobra out of that turn
& got after Dave & the lot
Soon we left Pigs Tail
With grins on our faces
From all the fun without fail
We had on Arkansas trails
And the Pigs Tail

Oh, Cobra Yells, Cobra Yells
Cobras all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride
In Cobras all the way.

Cobra Ride with Naja

Just here those Cobra engines roaring
Ring ting tingle-ing too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a Cobra ride together with you

Outside the leaves are turning
And friends are calling "Yoo Hoo"
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a Cobra ride together with you

Giddy-up Giddy-up Giddy-up
Let's go
Let's look at the fall colors show
While riding on curvy roads not slow

Giddy-up Giddy-up Giddy-up it's great
Just cruising the land
We're flying along on twisty roads
On a fun filled cruise so grand

Our cheeks are nice and rosy
And comfy cozy are we
We're snuggled up together like two
Birds of a feather would be

Let's take the road before us
And take a curve or two
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a Cobra ride together with you

There's a cruising party at the home of Najay
It'll be the perfect ending of a perfect day
We'll be taking the roads we love to take without a single stop
At Naja's we'll be listening to our engines pop
Pop! Pop! Pop!

There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy
When we pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie
It'll be like a picture print by Currier and Ives
These wonderful cruises are the things
We'll all remember through our lives

So come on, giddy-up giddy-up
Let's go
It's lovely weather
For a Cobra ride in a show
With our dear friend Naja and us together
We'll all be aglow.

HO HO HO, Merry Christmas to all
& a special Thank You to Naja & family.
