8/9/16 Meeting @ SONIC - Minutes
Turned out to be a nice evening for an outdoor meeting in the beginning of August and the members & cars in attendance proved this. About 18 members and a dozen cars, plus a few family members joined us.
Good meeting and lots of talk and questions about new builds. Bob is planning a winter paint job, Tony continues to hammer away nearing the motor phase, Tom is picking up his build again (just finished his plane build and bought a ’29 Ford Truck), Todd is reporting his progress in some recent posts (looks good Todd), Taylor moved but explained his build will be resuming, Rich was re-motivated with his recent sale and buying go-fast parts like he won the lottery, Peter’s re-build is also in the shop for paint, and Rick said last month that he will be painting Buttercup very soon after completing final sanding. Next year will be exciting. LOTS of go-karting and gel-coat. Post your build progress guys and don’t be afraid to ask for help or just invite us out to visit / motivate you!
As always, THANKS to SONIC for being a good host.

Sorry, late arrivals and missed pictures of Ed, Bob, and Randy’s car.
Recent Events:
> 7/31: All Ford Show at J.S. McConnell Park - Bridgeton, MO - this was reported to be a good turnout on a nice day with many cars in attendance.
> 8/6 - 7: Joint overnight Cruise with Mid-America Cobra Club - weather cooperated at the last minute and made for comfortable temps and no rain. Nice cruises, good food, great cars, and fun guys; doesn’t get much better. The KC guys had some good suggestions for events and proposed meeting up in Hermann soon for more cruises and activities. Wayne and Al were able to join us from KC. Tim did a great job planning the routes and doing pre-runs to ensure clear roads and no construction. Checkout the pictures from the cruise on the forum: http://www.gatewaycobraclub.com/for...8-6-8-7-Joint-cruise-event-with-M-A-C-C/page2
Finances: Paul reported that were are doing ok and don’t need to worry, he’s got it covered. Btw, I think he’s going on vacation again this weekend and probably buying more Cobra parts. Coincidence? LOL
