Registration is open and the newly designed website (done by Mark E) is up. I hesitate to post this here as I kind of know who will go, but maybe those of you that won't go can share with friends that may go?

Thanks Kerry.

To follow up on what Tim stated - October 19 - you have plenty of notice to save the date. I know that this track weekend is about 100 bucks more expensive than most, but what you receive is well worth it.

1) 4 separate events
2) Transponder Rental included
3) Full steak dinner with all the trimmings
4) Event T-shirt
5) The chance at receiving your share of about 65 trophies.

This year's new format includes multiple run groups and classes to suit the novice to the pro.

Let's GO GCC - this will be fun.

Oh - and check out the cover photo !

Getting antsy in anticipation for next weekends event. Going to shake the bugs out Sunday on the Fall Colors Run, then it will be a mad dash to get my track setup put on the car by Wednesday. Me & Paul are leaving Thursday morning. Besides us, Mark & Jim, who else is going from STL? If anyone wants to ride out, I have one spot left in the truck, none left in the redneck motel though. Hoping weather holds

I'm doing my prep this weekend. Heading out Wednesday afternoon, so I can run the TNT sessions on Thursday. I need to work on brake bias and getting my lines down pat. I guess I'll be mostly alone on Thurs. with only the Indy car. Anyway, I could use the practice. The intermediate BB class is getting crowded.

Maybe for an extra 20 bucks he'll let me take the Indy car around. :D

I'm figuring on getting there by 1 on Thursday. Not sure if I'll have enough time, but I plan to be on the track. Rich - coming home Sunday. The banquet is over around 4, so I hope to leave by then, putting us home around 10pm Sunday night. Mark - Make sure to use Thursday for just that, learning....have fun!

Locked, loaded, and ready for RNG 2012! Had a rain delay loading the trailer, but it's loaded. Picking up Paul at 7am at 141 & 44 in the morning with hopes of getting to Hallett by 1. New brake pads ordered and sent to the track just in case since my front pads were more than half worn. Oh yeah, and the Cards won! :D Will post pics if I get a chance

Great weather and a great time yesterday. Had a few brake issues (front pads and boiled fluid) but a good day yesterday. Ran my personal best 1:31 yesterday. That's 3 seconds faster than my average last time and a second faster than my previous fastest time :D my time are rock solid consistent which is what i like to see. Don't care for the ONE fastest lap, i like the consecutive fast laps. David Williams went to the drag strip last night and ended up cracking a head, but Josh is working on it now and should have it fixed today. Banquet tonight, and last day tomorrow.

Better rear brake will take some of the load off the fronts. :)

Now that right there is funny!!!!:D

Speaking of rear brake. I now have so much rear bias that I am getting axle hop under hard braking. I may have to go back to my earlier suspension settings to get rid of it. Even with the rear bias and axle hop the car still won't spin under hard braking.

Tim good luck with the rest of the weekend. Be safe and have fun!

Try getting that axle hop at 120mph and going in to a turn, bet it spins :p I like my brakes just fine thank you....and we can now kick this dead beaten horse to the curb....just sayin'

Stories and Pictures - Weeeeeeeeell - Tim and Paul are being polite, waiting for me to post.

I got there early to run Test N Tune on Thursday. Had a decent day until I threw a belt. I got to the auto parts store to get the right belt and by then the STL crew arrived and Paul helped me install the new belt. With new belt installed I went out for the morning sessions on Friday. Tim and I had a great time running nose to tail all morning. The times were decent (for me) running 1:32s. Then, on my 3rd session I threw another belt. Josh from Fastlane came over to take a look and discovered that I had a broken crankshaft - broken at the snout. Blue Piggie is dead.

Tim continued to run on Saturday following some very fast folks and made to 1:30s. He had a GREAT weekend by any measure. Oh, Oh, Oh - and Jim Dooley WON for Small Block Street Class.

Friday night David Williams loaded up his car and popped over to Tulsa International Raceway to make a few passes. He blew up on his 4th pass with a broken head gasket.

There were a lot of great cars, and all levels of competition. Dean had a good weekend. There were a few old-timers, and lots of new guys. There was even a 13 year old driving a spec Miata that Tim followed around for a session. There was an IMSA car that went into a tire wall, and then the owner rolled out a Ferrari F430 to run. Sammy had his ERA running with his new engine until his oil pan developed a leak. He had it welded and was back on track the next day.

Anyway, you guys missed a great weekend. Paul, Jim and Chuck stayed in Tim's trailer, and BBQed all weekend. We listen to the ballgames, and spent lots of fun times just kickin back. I know Tim has a lot more stories.

Anywho - I loaded up Saturday morning and headed home after lunch. Feeling a little depressed, and not wanting to put a damper on the festivities - I had a lot to think about on the way home. I'll start another thread for the next chapter. I had a number of sympathy calls today. Thanks - I needed that.

Here's a picture while she was still running.
