1965 year issue license plate

My friend has this for sale. He is a license plate collector.
He will ship the plate for $39.95 if you want it. It was issued in 1965 with no other stickers underneath so it can be used as a historical plate. I did not check with the DMV if the number is currently being used. It is in very good condition.

flip it over and tell me what is stamped into the plate, the sticker could say 65 but whats stamped on back could be earlier.also could be a after market 65 sticker, and as for as the # being used thats a whole nother issue.
you can buy a 62-67 (i believe that year) for much less and aquire a sticker for 10.00 with 1965 on it, i bought mine with an original 65 sticker but it is stamped with 62 under it.
 
Thanks for the information. I did not know that you could get another sticker. I have looked for a plate in excellent condition but most were damaged, faded, or rusted. I do not own the plate so I cannot flip it over to look at the embossing.
