The pipes just clear with the standard ramps. I may swap to longer Race Ramp ramps.

Paul, I reached out to BendPak, and as you suspected, they do not recommend making any modifications to the lift. I'll follow that advice and spend the ten minutes to change configurations when it is needed. Dave

Here you go, Paul. The platform sits on the cross beam and can be set in either of two positions (narrow, or wide). The bolt holes are 5/8" diameter and the beam is 2" wide boxed steel. I'm thinking of replacing the bolts with pins like these...

Thanks guys! The lift is set in the narrow configuration, but I'll need to move between narrow and wide frequently and wonder if I can use pins instead of bolts to secure the sliding platform in place. Any advice or experience with this?

My slab was poured in September. It's 5" thick, 3,000psi with rebar grid at 2' spacing. The slab sits on top of 4-10" of compacted stone base (4" at the front of the building and deeper as you go toward the rear of the building due to the slope of the site the building sits on). The slab has...

I was told something similar by a concrete contractor: There are two types of concrete; cracked concrete, and concrete that will crack.

I reached out to BendPak for information on installers in Missouri. They use a third party to coordinate delivery and installation. I was contacted promptly and provided a quote for a BendPak HD9 lift as well as delivery and installation. It looks like this is the route I'll be going, and...

Good info from BendPak on securing their lifts vs not: Q: Does the Lift have to be anchored in place? A: Yes, BendPak strongly recommends that you anchor the Lift; it may be less stable if you do not anchor the Bases, and you could possibly void ALI certification. If you plan to use the...

Paul, That was very helpful and timely as I'm about to buy a lift for my new shop. In my old shop, I had a BendPak asymmetric two-post lift that had a 10,000lb. capacity. Although it worked for my needs, I hated getting my car on it and simply wouldn't if I could use a jack to do what I...

I went through the order configuration tool to price out what I would want if I were looking to build one and it came out to a bit over $48k without the top that isn't available in the order tool yet. They show it as a future option with a yet to be determined price. At that price, I'd rather...

My new shop is finally done!

I have a set of low ramps (4) that I used to get my car up high enough to get the arms under the car for my 2-post lift in my old shop. With the 4-post, I can get long ramps to help make it easier to get low cars on it. My other reason for doing a 4-post is so I can move it around in the...
