Cruise 10-1-2022

At the picnic it was brought up about doing a cruise going up north to Hannibal. I'll work on getting a route together. Probably meet up 9:00 to 10:00 depending on the route. Meet at the QT at 70 and TR Hughes. I'll update with more details when I get the route planned.

Ok, I have a route there and back planned. On the way there I took some back roads and through Cuiver River State Park. 105 miles and 2:30 plus restroom stop. On the way back I took some more back roads with an ice cream stop at the Ice Cream Shack on HWY 47. 96 miles and 2:15 plus the stops. The plan is to eat lunch in Hannibal at Finn's. They have a patio. If this is too long of a day we can make it shorter by sticking to HWY 79. It's about 89 miles and 1:50 plus restroom stop. The call is up to y'all. I say we meet at Qt at 9:00 and leave by 9:15.

Tony, I’m in and I can meet at the QT but was wondering if there’s a point further north on the route where I could meet. Is Rich meeting at QT or somewhere near his house? No big deal either way.

If you would use ride with gps, you would know the route Rich. . And you would know one of the Supercruise routes...

EDIT: I checked to make sure....Winfield Ferry is permanently closed it appears. Soooo, There is a gas station in Louisiana which is past all the good road we will take there, but, is the closest North point you could join us at really without a big detour for you (303 Mansion St, Louisiana, MO 63353). Maybe you could take the Grafton and Golden Eagle Ferries across to join us at the QT?? Up to you.

Rich the plan was to take Hwy P to Flint Hill. Then up to Mosscow Mill and up through Cuivre River state park. Then back over to 79 at Elsberry. What do you have going on?

That’s a good idea. I should have made the Mobile there the meet up spot. Oh well it will be the second meet up spot.

Knocked it out of the park GREAT CRUISE…the pace was perfect, the sights were very nice and final stop was ICE CREAM in Winfield… great lunch in Hannibal….beautiful and historic area… it was a very successful day… thanks Tony for setting up and putting this together …. For the club! Well done !!!!
