I have been chasing an antifreeze leak for several weeks now.

The water pump is snug, the hoses are tight, the intake manifold is dry, the heater hoses are dry, the top of bell housing is dry. However the leak is coming down from the rear crank area, across the bell housing cover, and dripping down.

This is what it looks like. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions.

Which engine? I know on mine, it is really difficult to get the corner between the intake and head sealed. I had a leak that would leave a puddle on the front of my engine right above the water pump. Where I knew it was leaking, it was dry. Double check the area at the rear of the intake where it meets the head. Get a mirror on an extension so you can see better.

Not sure if small blocks have freeze plugs inside the bell housing or not. A possible source. Also, there are some bolts for heads and water pump that penetrate the water jacket and require sealer be put on the bolt before assembly. Google "water jacket bolts" to see which ones.

Engine is 331 (302 block).

Did you build the engine? If it wasn't you, can you contact them about sealing the headbolts? A 302 block definitely has head bolts going into the water jacket that needs sealant. Is it there after you drive or if you clean it up, does it come back to the same spot? I have seen small leaks in the front tavel to the back of an intake and then run down the back.

Bought engine. Drips after driving, and it drips 24 hours + after sitting. For awhile it seemed like it was travelling back through the space between oil pan and block on driver side, but that seems to have stopped. Now, it seems to come straight down from crank area.

I had that problem on mine. The driver's side, top bell housing bolt required sealing. Did the same thing, but oil. Required sealing.
