Like others, I'm getting ready for a bit of winter work too. I'm getting things in order before removing my hood and tearing into the top end of my engine when I'm sure there are no driving days remaining. I don't have a big item storage problem but wanted to get tools and supplies in order so I got a 9 drawer Lyon modular cabinet on casters just in case it needs to roll out. It's 30" wide x 28" deep x 51.25" high and fits nicely into a space I made next to the work bench by removing a fairly worthless 2 shelf unit that had a band saw and bench grinder that I never use stored on it and putting a smaller shelf unit to the left of the bench. At 400 lbs. per drawer capacity it'll hold plenty of tools.

Wow! I just thought I had my tools organized. You could draw dead tool silhouettes in those drawers! Now I'm jealous.

A couple of other shots I took while I was at it. Andy got me the gas sign from a station they were switching over to BP a couple years ago and I didn't think it would ever be right again.

That's nicer than my home office. Where did you get the tool chest? That's the problem with the one I bought, no way to put separator's in it for the different kind of tools. I stared at an empty drawer for 10 minutes last night trying to figure that one out.

Tim,

We distribute Lyon, Lista and a couple hundred other material handling and storage product lines so that does make it allot easier to find cool stuff http://industrialshelving.com/Default.asp.

Dave,

I design warehouse, retail, industrial etc. storage systems, mezzanine's etc. in AutoCad. I can probably handle a garage :D

Sample Account

Tom,
Is that tool storage cabinet assigned to your sample account?

:)

Paul,

I wish it was but I would be afraid to load it for fear that someone would want to haul it somewhere for a demo :D. I bought it at cost of course and Lyon paid the freight to our warehouse. I need to talk to You & Roger about some reels and such that I need to put on long term trial at Emerso... ahh Boein....... ahh Ralsto...... Oh, never mind :D

I've seen operating rooms that aren't that organized. The only thing missing to make that the best mancave around it a fridge, lounger and a TV!

I can live without the fridge & the lounger :D. I've got the TV, just need to run the cable.

Tom, thats a great garage, I'm jealous. In between working on my Cobra I'm going to start doing some serious organizing. Your garage looks like a great place to have a beer.
