Have you guys (and girls) seen the new 2010 Mustang.
You can order now. Vehicles will arrive at dealerships in March 2009.

No word on Shelby models yet.

I kinda like the new lines. It has a front grill that slopes down and in like the 1970 'stang and the rear haunches are more pronounced like the 70 car as well. The interior looks a bit more refined / updated too.

What do you guys think?

Dear Mark,

Do not try to sway my opinion on the 2010 by getting the guys to back you. If that car shows up in the driveway I will mow you down with it:eek:

A little of thread (sue me) I just wanted to say in all sincerity you've done a great job this year. You've been blessed to make such wonderful friends from the club. I see you put in such long hard hours to provide for us and work just as hard for the club. It makes my heart happy to see you in your "little blue pig" with that big cheesy smile on your face. Nobody deserves it more.

Now...........can I have my Eleanor?

Love,

BBG

Ooowwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

Is Ford going to be around in 2010? Or will it be a Hyundai Mustang

JEEEEZZ!
That is one scary bad picture you popped into my head!
OOOHHHH, Man, hurt, hurt.

Let the market decide, though. It is better that way.

Just kidding guys...but I tend to be a big picture realist. So just having some fun.

Spent numerous hours over the last month talking to some soon to be let go Chrysler workers as well as some from GM and the situation is not pretty. Major restructurings on the way with at least one of the big 3 going away completely and the other 2 will be doing major reorgs.

As long they have a few cars well over 300hp, it'll be ok.

Life is fun...ain't it?:(

Actually Mark, their 4.6L V8 (Hyundai Genesis) is rated at 375HP. Styling is a dead knock-off for a Benz 300 / Lexus LS. Just got the promotional info today in the mail...but not to get off topic.

The Mustang needs more to make it competitive with the new pony cars coming online from Chevy & Dodge. The make-up, err face lift on the 2010 is not much of a change from the 05 model. I hear the interior is a bit better, but I was happy with the Interior Styling package I had in my 06. It was aluminim with minor plastic trim pieces, leather inserts in the doors. very comfy on long trips and pretty ergonomic as far as American cars go.

The engine needs some overhaulin'. I was not that impressed with the 4.0 SOHC V6 in my Mustang. The GT does have the 305 HP 3 valve (SOHC), but the DOHC cammer motors of past are gone, unless you drop the dough ray me on the Shelby, and then it is the 5.4L DOHC supercharged engine that weighs a ton...albeit it does put out 500 + HP. The '10 Camaro base engine will be a 300 HP V6. Ford needs to get with it.
