Is there such a route? Arkansas has it's pig's tail, Tenn. has the dragon's tail, why can't Mo. have the mule's tail? If it doesn't, I say we work on finding it & so designating it! :D:cool: What about just West of Tommy's over to Washington & down to Potosi? Other thoughts? Tommy? Weigh in here.

Tom , Alex, a select few others and I know where it is. AND, it is certainly not as straight as a mule's tail. We don't call it that either.

You will have a choice TODAY. You can decide if a segment of today's "Spring into Fall" Color run qualifies for a special designation. You will get an opportunity to venture forth on THE "Road Less Traveled". You will also take both the high road and the low road. And yet, you and I will each get there at the same time. You will be going 'round in circles. You will think you are both coming and going. You will be wore out. You will become one with your ride. Your ride will become one with you. You may or may not experience the phenomenom of time dilation (If this occurs - you are on your own). You may or may not be able to get back to the future (If this occurs - you are on your own). You, like each of us, started out with NOTHING and still have most of it left. And the most important advice I can give ya at this woefully early hour is:
You will be late if you don't stop reading this and get your rear in gear!
SEE YA!
I'm NAJA and I am responsible for the content of this post.

Oh Hear Ye this...........................

Oh wise & omnicient one: I will not be late & I will not be slow or last. I will be FORD! First On Race Day! :D:eek::p:cool: BTW You will see my rear in gear when see the smoke coming from my rear tires.

I think yesterday's route qualifies as the Mazurah Mule's Tail. :D I have tried to find it on Google Maps unsuccessfully. I get the 185 to P, P to C, C to DD, but get lost at the end of DD. :( Google maps takes me to 32 at the end of DD, but I thought we were on 34 & 49(??) before we got to D going into Van Buren. I found A that we did your little loop de loop on. @ least I think it was the correct A. Care to offer me any help Naj?????? :p

Nope, not even close!

Naww, it just doesn't compare. Perhaps sometime in the next year or two we will get the chance to take you GCC guys to the "COBRA's Tail".

Tom, whaddya think? Can Dave handle the Frankenstein Route???
Dave, you ever make a lap or two around Laguna Seca??? You know the CORKSCREW???

Me neither. That is why we run the COBRA's Tail. A lot closer than California.
:)

As a matter of fact, I have been to Laguna. It's got nothing on the Cobra's tail. This should be the opening run in the spring since it needs to be a little warmer for traction. We can stop and wait for David at the photo spots every now and then :D

Ouch

That hurt Tom. Well sounds like we got a grutch match/race brewing here to me.:D Ok Tom since you've got the racing experience, tech. knowledge, & brains out the wazu & I'm left holdn the bag on all counts, How many laps/miles ya gonna spot me? :D BTW I'm pretty good @ the corkscrew & the Laguna Seca, but I'm not familiar with the Frankenstein. Is that before or after the corkscrew & the Laguna Seca? :D I like a lot of tail so I'm sure I'll love the Cobra's Tail!

Why stop and wait? I got places to go. Things to do. Stop and wait? Tom, what are you thinking. Pit and go, then go, and go some more! Dave can always look at the photos on here when he gets home.
Or, read about it in the newspaper.

Lets do that!!

You doing the Frankenstein before the Japan?:D

A reverse run. . . umm! First Frankenstein, then Japan. Those pipes will really growl going UP those switchback hills.
Great Idea!! We might even get a Cuba in there, too!

Let's mull this over for a tad. Tom, a spring run when its warm for traction? Or next summer when it is really HOT?

I can't drink wine when the weather is hot.

While your at it

let's also go to Mexico, Nevada, Olympian Village, Oregon, Paris, Pasadena Hills, Peculiar, Queen City , Sarcoxie, Sparta, Troy, Versaillies, Vienna, Warsaw, Windsor, Knob Noster & Licking also. :D

Keith,

Not sure about the reverse run, it's awfully good the original way and the food stop is in a great place. We need enough warmth for tires but last time the roads were in great condition and the weather was just like the warmest part of last weekend when we hit the major twisty's. You could get the back end out if you wanted to but it didn't come as a surprise on the switchbacks. A day with a high of 70 should be just about perfect.

Tom, can you put a calendar reminder to pop a message next spring? We can do this. Hermann Maifest, maybe???

You can do it Naj

Haven't done it for awhile. What date is it? Click on "calendar" in the tool bar, click on add single all day event, be sure to set the correct day month & year, then post the title of the event & the details of the event. :) EDIT: I put it on the club's calendar for ya Naj. Let me know if ya want me to add some details.

Expression of Gratitude Forthwith Herein

Thank you, my friend. I checked it out with due diligence and discovered that yes I CAN (as in AMER I CAN)!
Alas, I am nothing but a mere "Junior member" on this speaking post, still*. As such, I knew not I had access to "setting appointments" with you guys and gals. Heh, heh, heh!!

*Marky Mark has accepted my annual "tithe", but has yet to bestow upon my left shoulder the title of "PAID member 2009"!!!

:D
