Tuesday presents one of the most important tenants of our Society - the opportunity to vote.

Democratic - Republican - Libertarian - Independent ___Doesn't really matter.

Most importantly, set time aside to go to the polls and cast your ballot.

It makes everyone feel better but it really doesn't matter. When it is all said and done the government will be bigger and your freedoms more restricted.

It does matter, not doing nothing gets nothing done. Maybe it doesn't go your way, but you did do your part.

I agree, Rick. Much of the problems we have now is because society became complacent and just accepted what the minority voted/approved/whatever.

If you don't vote, what you get is what you deserve. Sooner or later, the masses will stand up and say what they want.

Obama is in office today because too many good people sat at home with the mistaken mindset that their vote wouldn't make a difference.

How about the fact that Romney was merely Obama lite (see Mass. version of Obamacare). If they run Romney or Jeb Bush I will vote for Hillary. The Republican establishment is the other side of the same coin as the Dems.

It's always been voting for the lessor of two evils...and I'll always chose evil "lite" over the Devil incarnate.

If you honestly believe that "what difference does it make" ....Billary.... is a better choice than Romney...you might consider having your conservative compass re calibrated...

Kerry:

I really don't like any evil.

We're headed to hell in a hand-basket. If all the Republicans are going to do is slow down our progress, then I say "Let's get the party started" and blow this thing up and start over.

Steve
PS: Neither Romney nor Bush is conservative. Rand Paul - now we're talking.

Moved to this room....let's keep it light in the Lounge please.

When it comes to making a decision to vote... or not to vote...I am reminded of the Edmund Burke Quote:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Couldn't agree more. Even my wife, a staunch Democrat is starting to lean more conservative. We have some pretty open discussions and occasionally we change the other's opinion. If not then we both vote our own way.
