Dean has suggested we meet on a Tues. @ 4:30 to discuss R&G. Let's get a thread goin 2 decide when & where. Next Tues. 7/29 in Fairview heights, IL.? Tues. 8/12 before our reg. Mo. meeting say an hour before normal @ Sonic? We can also kick it around this Sat. @ my house or @ CAB during lulls.
 
Tuesday at Casa Guilardo (sp) or Lotta watta creek in Fairview would be great. In return for you coming to the eastside, I will promise to make the trip to the valley for the next club meeting. :D

We here in the Gateway to the West 'Show Me' State like to be referred to as hicks, or MAsoouriaans...but we kindly reserve the term "Hillbillies", or "hillbilly" (singular) for you kind but somewhat challenged folk that reside East of the River.

Ok, now back to the topic.

I would really like to join you all...but work and picking up kids from camp will keep me from making the mid-week jaunt.

Tues. 7/29 @ 4:30 @ Lotawata Creek Restaurant, Fairview Heights, IL. I-64 & IL.159 near Ramada Inn in the N.E. corner of the intersection of said 2 hiwys. So far it's me, Mark, & Deano. Who else is in? I'll call the Rest. Mon. to see if I can reserve the side room 4 us.
 
I'll come, but really, don't expect a lot of input. I have NO idea what to expect as I haven't been to RNG or LCS. Anyone care to put out some discussion topics to start with? Is our meeting still at 7 that night?

First- what do we need to do to succeed this year without going broke.
Second - what we do for 2009 to help them to succeed - and not go broke.

Honestly - I'm still floored by Dean's comment yesterday that they use their own money, loose $1000's and Gateway is still in charge.

Growth (like we are all excited about) demands fiscal stability. We know now that we all have a lot to learn about RNG - but we also know that if we want to usher this event to the next level - we'll have to figure out how to more than break even. Like I said before - this is the true power of our group. We're all smart enough to help them, and insure that this event (in whatever form it takes) continues.
 
Oh he-- I drove right by there on Wednesaday...that isn't out in the boonies. I'm working on that silly looking Conference Center next to the Hilton Garden Inn at N.W.C. of I-64 and Green Mount Road. That's my kinda of Hillybilly place.

I'm not sure I will be much help or influence, but let me see if Michelle can get the kiddo Tuesday night and I will try to make it...I'll just make a "site visit" to my project before hand and make my client happy....and get him to pay for the gas.

makes the world go round. Yikes, I don't think any of us want to lose money do we? Is Gateway making money on Runngun or can they be believed if they said no?
