The 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is now available. Boasts 662 HP. Beats ZL1 Camaro, ZR1 Vette - 200 mph Mustang. It's happening again.

Shelby expects to also make a 1000 HP Mustang.

Big hp/tq difference. Wish they would compare apples to apples not apples to grapes. Plus 8 grand difference in price.
I think the hp race is already on Paul.

Tim I am glad we think alike! I really thought the stang would be closer. I appears the lack of brakes really held it back. Another $500-1000 in brakes and suspension would probably have made a world of difference.

I really like the new coyote engine, but the LS has the advantage of 15 years of development. Too bad Ford waited so long to build a great engine. Give the Coyote a few years and we will see some amazing things from this new design.
