Here's a few pictures from my trip this week to shoot commercials for Bommarito with The King.

So, down a nondescript road in Greensboro, North Carolina

Is the home built by Lee Petty where Richard grew up

Just off to the side of that home is the original garage used by Lee and Richard until the 1990s. The complex was added on to several times over the decades, but is now used mostly as a storage area and restoration shop for customer cars, Richards Cars, and future projects.

Here's Richard's car - still driving that HotRod Lincoln

Here's a few shots of one of the shops

Mark; You shouldn't be going down there without a bodyguard, and I will glady do this harzard duty for our club Prez.
Just like last year looked like a great trip. Nice pics.

Your Servant Rick:D

Great pictures Mark! They will be neat to look back on some day and show your Grand kids how truly cool you were "back in the day". I'm anxious to see the TV spots.

That's awesome, particularly the Red tank top in the next to last photo :D :p That 56 is one awesome piece of history....wow...what a trip you just made. Thanks for taking pics. How was Marcos to talk to?

That 57 Olds was really cool. I really like the way it was modified. I think I might like it better than a 57 Chevy - at least in racing trim.

Marcus Ambrose was awesome. What a nice guy. We talked about the Martinsville race from last week. His legs were still tired from all of the pedal work. 1000 turns and 1000 straights. We talked about the pit stops and how everything goes wrong. It's always so much hotter and louder than you expect. He brought one of his friends from Australia with him that day. He was just a scruffy old guy with a racing type shirt on. Kinda looked like he had been up all night tipping a few back. As it turned out we talked on a break. He is the 3 time current Austrailian Dirt Track Champion - a really big deal down under. His son is an executive at IBM and a driver under development with Marcus' own race team.

BTW - that open wheeled car in the background of the last picture was Petty's turbine powered Indy Car.

The red-head was a Bommarito girlfriend. I sat next to her on the plane. She smelled really nice.:D
