Gentlemen:

I may need to move my office to temporary quarters. I am thinking about placing a construction trailer / mobile office at my house to accomplish this. It will need to be big enough for 4 people.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Check zoning

Don't know which community you live in. Be careful with a temp trailer - depending on the town, you could run into some zoning issues.

Don't know the circumstances - have you considered some of the small office facilities for a short term? When we moved our office, we looked at one who would rent in 3 month increments

We live in Wildwood and will definitely check on the zoning issue.

Our plan is to build a combination garage / office at our house. It is possible that the house (our 2nd one) where we currently have our office will sell before construction is completed.

I'm not opposed to a short term office rental. Just exploring options.

The construction trailers take up a lot of room, something to think about. Also, power, you will need a sub panel to feed the trailer's panel. Which will require a separate meter. St. Louis County may give you a temp on perm, but I doubt Wildwood will. When we built our tower behind the high school out there, we had to keep construction trailers and johnny on the spots off the property.
 
We ususally don't have issues getting job trailers on site, but without actual construction going on, many jurisdictions will regard it as any other type of trailer or vehical. If you can hold off until construction starts, it may be easier.
 
Temp Location - may be the cheapest and easiest solution. I will say that downtown Eureka, and downtown Wildwood are virtually vacant right now. Many businesses have folded and many landlords stuck with many empty spaces. Make a deal with some very hungry landlords for some temporary space. I'm sure it will be easier than a construction trailer.

Many communities have "incubator" space and rent is normally reasonable. Check with your local chamber or economic development commission.
 
Best friend is high up the ladder with Pacvan. He is responsible for mobile office trailers and storage for major events(Masters, World Series, Superbowl,etc). He is from Wildwood. I would be happy to put you in touch with him if you would like. He would definately take care of you or put you with the right person.
