Any suggestions on a brand and fabric for a car cover? Some say Cal Car Covers, others say they don't fit. I see Covercraft but dealing with the myriad of vendors, don't know if they are any good or not.

I know I want a soft (fuzzy) inner weave and a fairly weatherproof exterior. It will be used primarily for garage storage but the occasional overnight trip storage or the sudden rainstorm

Suggestions or ideas? I see them from $350 to $19.95 and am confident you get what you pay for. But concerned the high priced ones might not be the best choice

???

You're welcome to try mine for fit and style. Come on by and pick it up anytime.
The Superformance ones now have colors and stripes available.
Check out the Hillbank site for price.
The colored/striped ones go for 500 I think - 350 for the regular.
The fit should be fine.

I get mine from California Car Cover Paul. I like the 100% cotton ones that are flannel lined. Don't get the ones that are made of "paper" they will "melt" on hot sidepipes. They are made to fit so you won't have to worry about fit. Don't worry bout the occasional outside use. No car cover will protect your beast if you get a heavy rain. To beat the rain I would cover 1st with the car cover then cover that with plastic or tarp "suitably" "anchored" down. TomK & MikeD should have some good suggestions as well. Happy shopping.

The one from Finishline - any indication which brand it is? I know they don't make them, just redistribute somebody's.

Is it cloth or is it a man-made type fabric? Flannel on the inside or just brushed cotton?

Paul

Doesn't say anything on the cover, so don't know who's it actually is. The outer is like a canvas, the inside is flannel, could be brushed cotton, but aren't they the same?

See what you did Paul, you went and painted your car. Now you have to spend more money on wax, car covers, touchup, etc. I went with California Car Cover also and it fit very well.

I bought mine from cal car cover. When I ordered it they were very specific, brand, number of roll bars etc. I bought the Noah and it is guaranteed for four years. I use it in the garage to keep the dog hairs and dust off the car. When it gets dirty I wait for rain and park the car outside with the cover on. Mother nature does a great job of cleaning the cover. The pipes will melt the cover and the material left on the pipes is not easy to get off. I have bought a welding blanket to cut and sew to the inside of the cover where it fits over the pipes but have not sewn it on yet. Happy to bring it over and see how it fits. Bruce

Ultimate Plan

See what you did Paul, you went and painted your car. Now you have to spend more money on wax, car covers, touchup, etc. I went with California Car Cover also and it fit very well.

Planning on parking it in your driveway so when the wax gets applied to the GTM, you can just keep on moving around the vehicles.

Wax on Wax off Grasshopper
