I now work part time for pat owner of PERFORMANCE PARTS PLUS 3500 HWY 162 GRANITE CITY, IL PH 618 451 8888 Huge inventory fuel, nitrous, helmets, intake manifolds, camshfts, carburators, pistons, rings, rods, harmonic dampers, arp bolt sets, cylinder heads, MSD systems, oil pumps, AN fittings and stainless steel braided line, cometic gaskets, hi-torque starters, rear axle gear sets, auburn gear hp differentials,ring and pinion installation kits, ignition parts, guages and lots of chrome goodies. And competes with the mail order guys and many times is less ( no handling charge crap)
 
This maybe a rumor but word is WISE SPEED SHOP is closing its doors. Dave Wise would roll over in his grave. Looks like the mail order folks got another 1.
 
Maybe it's mail order, but I know everytime I went there customer service truly sucked a$$. Hardly any help nor offer to help. You had to ask for service, like you were privledged to be there. That's why I stopped. Bier Brothers in O'Fallon is a little better, but they stock nothing. I drove by the old Wise building on Hampton, it still had stuff in it, but didn't they re-locate a year or two ago?
 
they tried to have 2 locations closed 1 now this 1 is dead and yes you are right very rude to customers - its us and county speed shop now - glad to see them bite the dust after hearing rumor that they started - told people we where filling nitrous bottles with air - hard to do that when you fill by weight and that is the kind of crap that killed them. Treated customers like dirt unless you had a full blown race car. And new owner not very knowledgable and in todays market you must compete with mail order and have a large inventory which I will say we show approx 650,000 on the books. Only down fall is its a cheby driven market. And hope the race track stays going or that will hurt us - we sell alot of fuel and engine parts
 
I was in WISE and had the same problem. Guys in there treated me like and idiot.

Mike, Can you find out what a Fulmer helmet like Mark's costs?
Here's the particulars. XL Fulmer Open Top /Wheel S class helmet
FMA1 Snell 2005 rating, Snell Dot approved.

I need to give Mark's back so we can both participate at Putnam in September. Thanks

Mike should know - I got that helmet at his shop!
It fit and has a big M on it!
 
have butt load of helmets come on over there today from 10 till 3 monday - friday hours 10 - 7 sat 10 - 3

You said you have AN fitting and braided stainless lines. Looking for oil lines for remote oil filter and some fuel lines. Also need to check out new fuel rails for EFI setup. Think you can help?

we have plenty and also in black and some crome I will be there thur after 3 and sat from 10 till 3 send me pm for what you need.

AFR heads, rockers, push rods @ ect

We just took in 2 AFR heads part # 1404 , scorpion rockers and locks, roller cam, push rods, 302 intake with edelbrock throttle body and much more, IF you are interested message me and I will call you, this should sell fast and its priced right - was on a stroked 302
