I have a 57 Chevy sitting in my pole barn that is for sale to a good home. It belongs to a friend that has given up on the idea of making a hot rod out of it. Originally bought by his grandmother and passed on to him, it has been sitting in my barn under cover for the last 12 years. He used to run it every summer when he came home from overseas (teaches at a military base in Italy) but it hasn't been started for 4-5 years now. In line 6 with manual on the tree, black with silver tutone, 4 door. Actually in very good shape. He is asking $5,700 for the "57". Let me know if there is any interest, we will probably pull it out this spring, get it running and put it in the paper and craigslist.

man o man, 2 less doors and I would be all over it like a spider monkey :D

Tim, I am willing to remove the back doors for you if thats all that stands in the way of making a sale!

What kind of shape is the body in? Is there much deep rust? Need new Pans, etc?

chop the rear door section out of it - had one running around north county some years back 2 seater and the guy had a big block in it and had working ac all black sitting on cragar S S wheels - he did a nice job no waves in metal and frame cut and weld was nice 2 have not seen it in about 10 years

Craig,
The body has zero rust, deep or otherwise. It has always been stored indoors and
under a dust cover. You can spend all your money on a big block for it!

Hey how bout a 55 2-dr post ala Am. Grafiti with a BBC? Hey Tom do you still have the link for that guy that rolled his 55 @ the strip & walked away. Hairy Crash. Goofy guy wouldn't back off when the thing was gettin squirrely. Saw another guy do the same thing at Gateway last fall on the last night of racing of the season with Danny. He slammed the wall on the other end real hard & the car was toast.

I was just joking - somebody actually did that?
