Paul, I've got mine on hold while I work on getting a house ready for my son to move into. I do a little tinkering every now and then, but nothing much.

Paul,
I am installing my 4 post lift over Thanksgiving while my sons are home to help with the heavy lifting. Once I get it operational I will get the car up in the air and start the removal process. I plan on putting the pieces in the back of my truck and bringing them to one of the winter meetings to get some feedback / advise on what to fix, replace, order, etc. I know the best plan is to get a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing but I'm interested in what you guys think about why it failed and what else should be done while I have it apart.

Finishing up wiring and clamping. Started on figuring out what holes to drill into my valve covers. And started figuring out alternator brackets and a dumby pulley bracket.

I'm too depressed and busy (holidays and laundry room remodel) to even look at it lately.
I replaced the harmonic balancer (I agree it was probably bad, given the wobble we were seeing), but I still have a noise that REALLY concerns me. I need professional help to diagnose the root cause and then move from there. It's important to me to get it running again, but not a priority at the moment.
I need to work up the courage to start it up again and find the source of the noise.

Kent, once you have things in the air, don't hesitate to call us, we'll make the trip over and save you from loading up the parts. Only 3 things, cable, throw out bearing, and clutch plate (unlikely). My thought when I had mine apart was to replace all (minus the clutch cable), just easier. Especially if your clutch is 10 years old.

Mark, invite us over after the holidays slow down, and we'll get it started and checked out. May not be as bad as you think, or, it could be. Just be thankful it didn't blow up out on the road :D

Thanks Tim. I'll take you up on that. I've added an adjustable clutch cable to the list. Also, my engine moves quite a bit under heavy torque so maybe get some opinions on motor mounts. I put new Ford mustang replacement mounts in 10 years ago. Are a lot of you running solid or more rigid mounts?
